Karela bharva
ingredients
- 250 gms karela/ bitter gourd.
- 20 gms ginger garlic paste.
- 100 gms onions ground to a paste.
- 20gms/ 1 heaped tbsp barbat masala ground to a smooth paste.
- Imli & Jaggery pulp 1 tsp. ( each).
- Salt to taste.
- 100gms Oil for cooking.
- Fresh corriander leaves to garnish.
instructions
- Peel karelas roughly.
- Apply Haldi & salt , keep for some time & boil in water till 3/4 th cooked , fill the karelas with Barbat masala.
- Heat oil in a Kadhai.
- Add onion & ginger garlic paste & cook till golden Brown.
- Add the remaining Barbat Masala paste & fry till it leaves oil.
- Now add the filled karelas to the khadai & cook well.
- Add tamarind & jaggery pulp , salt to taste.
- Garnish with Corriander leaves.
