Chambal Chicken in Barbat Masala

ingredients
  • 600 gms Chicken.
  • 200 gms onions / 3 Onions. Grind to a paste.
  • 40 gms / 2 tbsp ginger garlic. Grind to a paste.
  • 20 to 25 gms / 2 & half table spoon Barbat masala.
  • 1 or 2 bay leaf.
  • 50gms curds.
  • 1 full tbsp Corriander powder.
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder.
  • 2 to 3 slit green chilies.
  • Salt to taste.
  • 100gms oil
  • 2 boiled eggs for decoration.
  • Fresh corriander leaves for garnishing.
instructions
  • Marinade the chicken with turmeric powder, ginger garlic paste, salt & curds.
  • Heat oil.
  • Put one bay leaf & add the ground onion paste & fry till pink.
  • Add 1 tbsp corriander powder along with ground barbat masala. Fry well.
  • Add the marinated chicken pieces & fry til oil separates.
  • Add the remaining marinate with 1/2 glass of water & cook on slow flame till chicken is cooked.
  • Garnish with fresh corriander leaves & the slit green chilies.
  • Decorated with the boiled eggs & serve.
