Aloo matar
ingredients
- 250 grams small potatoes
- 200 gms fresh peas
- 2 medium onions (paste)
- 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
- 2 tbsp barbat masala (ground to a fine paste)
- Salt to taste
- Pinch of turmeric
- Fresh coriander leaves (to garnish)
instructions
- Peel potatoes and cut into half.
- Peel the peas.
- Heat oil. Add onions and ginger garlic paste and cook till golden brown.
- Add the ground barbat masala and fry till oil separates.
- Add salt and turmeric powder.
- Add potatoes and peas, sauté well.
- Add water and cook till vegetables are done.
- Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
- Similarly, we can make aloo baingan gravy, mixed vegetables and dal fry.
